Introduction

The Terms of Use outline the terms and conditions for using our website. Central Valley Institute (hereafter referred to as CVI/We/Us/Our) urges you to carefully review these terms before accessing our services or website, making transactions, or navigating other platforms available at cvi.ac or other sites owned and controlled by us.

By using, accessing, or participating on these sites, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and comply with them. If you disagree with being confined or adhere to these terms, you must exit all our sites promptly.

CVI reserves the right to update, modify and make changes to these terms at any time, and will provide notification of any such updates or modifications on this page, website, or elsewhere online. The website ("Site" "Sites") or pages associated with CVI may have unmoderated forums that contain post-entries of people, personal opinions and other expressions. Central Valley Institute does not claim to screen, approve, review or endorse any such content or links. CVI restricts placing the following material (not limited to software) on our site without express permission of the owner/copyrighted person/legal entitlement:

Students at CVI using or accessing the site are expected to adhere to the Fundamental Standard and code of conduct, which entails that:

“Students of CVI are expected to demonstrate respect for the rights, order, morality, and personal honor of others, both within and outside the Institute, as is expected of responsible citizens. Failing to stick to these principles will be sufficient cause for dismissal from the institute/ cancellation of study at CVI”.

Employees at CVI must also adhere to the Institute's Code of Conduct. CVI reserves the right to remove posts or content that violates the above-stated rules.

While CVI does not monitor the content on the sites, we reserve the right to remove material, block access, or take other necessary action about the material at our sole discretion, but CVI is not under any obligation to take such actions.

You consent that you will not access or attempt to access accounts other than your own or make or attempt to make a false identity while using/accessing the sites.

Sites are hosted by Central Valley Institute on our computing resources stationed at our head office in San Ramon, California. You consent that any dispute relating to or arising out of these Terms of Use of sites or any material published on the Site, such as republication and copying, whether in contract, statutory, tort or any other law, will be controlled and governed by the laws of the State of California, except for its provisions of the conflicts of law. You also agree to the exclusive venue and personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in and serving Contra Costa County, California, as the legal forum for any such dispute.
